The City of Columbia Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) invites community members to attend Safer Communities Start With Us, a community conversation focused on building safer neighborhoods through dialogue and engagement.
This event will feature a guest speaker and panel discussion with local leaders who will share insights, experiences, and strategies to address community safety and youth violence. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and learn about resources that support safer, stronger communities.
The event will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at the Virginia Bedford Community Center, 1113 Recreation Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.
Community members are encouraged to attend and be part of the conversation. This is a free event, but registration is required. Refreshments will be provided.
